On the eve of beginning the actual tear down, some stacks of recyclable materials remain.

In the midst of tear down, we discovered the Planning Department permit expired.
A new one is applied for. This will be the third one.
These things do take time!

Cottage Demolition Begins!

May 22, 2009.

Demolition begins with removal of floor covering, water heaters etc. Every recyclable* item will be delivered to the appropriate recycling center.

*Some items (e.g., old carpeting ) cannot be recycled and will go to a landfill. Such items must be removed separately so that wood and other recyclable materials can be duly processed. Asbestos removal: See early posts.
